How Long?

So you have trained hard; recce’ed the course. But how are you going to do? The calculator on this page allows you to enter the start and end points of a training run along the BGR along with the time you took.

In order to get a reasonable estimate, the run entered should be of reasonable length: ideally one section or several hours on the move.

Obviously the time of a run when fresh over part of the course is going to be quicker than when covered after many hours on the move and with several thousand feet of ascent and descent in your legs. So a best guestimate is made as to how long you would take for the full round at that pace.

One point to note is that the end point must be later in the list than the start point. The lists are ordered according to the choice of direction.
